Luke, Merca, Neil, Rob and Amanda’s Group.
First destination was the dressing room area. The toilet and shower area made a few people feel dizzy and uneasy. The whole team then went into the first dressing room, where pacing feet where heard. John 1 felt he was being touched on his right hand side and that there was someone with him, he thought the man was nasty and feeling anxious, he didn’t want us there and that he would do something if he was provoked enough.
A figure was thought to be building up in the corner on the right hand side opposite the door. There was a smell possibly of burning wood along with lavender and mothballs, not all the group could smell this.
Our Neil felt there was another man who had chest pains on his right hand side and breathing problems. John felt the presence of a timid man.
Kevin sensed a man who was a cleaner and he was shown racks and racks of clothes in the corner. John felt there was someone else trying to manifest in the doorway. A bang was heard in response to asking out. John said he heard someone say come back at 10:00pm for a banging noise.
Kevin saw faces in the mirror of a lady in her 60’s or someone dressed as a lady with make-up on, very gaunt facially. Tara sat in front of the mirror to try scrying, Kevin felt that someone had put a black veil over her eyes, not wanting to her to see. Tara Felt she couldn’t see anything. Kevin thought he heard someone saying we’re a family and wasn’t sure if it was connected to the building, he was being shown a ruffle around his neck.
John 2 (Mr Lazy) felt an angry man who punches walls. Kevin said he felt a man over 6ft 2” tall and was dressed like a Viking, he was quite a broad man who had to enter the doorway sideways to get through.
Our Luke’s head felt heavy and he had a weird feeling in his neck. Kevin heard a man ask where the couch was as he wanted to lie down. Someone else heard “where’s the boy”, the boy was used as a runner and was aged 6-12, he fetches and carries for the players. He isn’t allowed in the main stage area but hides in a closet to the left of the stage. The boy was supposed to have fetched something as he knows where everything is. Kevin also heard someone asking for the payroom, showing him a desk and some shillings, someone hadn’t been paid and was very agitated and wouldn’t rest. He wasn’t paid properly and stomps about looking for somebody. He is a very loud person when heard, he was showing Kevin a kiosk window where people were being paid in small coins and large notes.
Neil thought he could see a shadow crossing the mirror going back and forth.
2nd dressing roomJohn2 (Mr Lazy) felt it was used as a storage room at some time to store rubbish/props. He felt there used to be a doorway in the wall at the end of the room which led to the outside, unsure as to whether it was from before the cinema was built or if at some time it was used for a fire escape. Chris felt she had a pounding headache. Our Neil felt someone complaining about someone else bringing a dog into the dressing room. Kevin picked up this was more of a ladies dressing room where people had to knock before entering, he felt it was more flamboyant than the other room, people using it don’t rush about they like to look the part. He felt popping light bulbs.
Merca felt tightness around her neck, John 2 (Mr Lazy) felt someone had hung themselves. Kevin felt there was someone who sits 5-6 rows in in the auditorium. It is a spirit regularly seen. He felt there used to be a balcony and Kaz confirmed this, he felt someone was asking where the balcony was. John 2 (Mr Lazy) was seeing a man up close who was trying to hang him, the man had a feeling of guilt with him and he was aware of the name of Colin.
Someone showed Kevin a candle or lantern as the electric was out, he was being asked to follow someone downstairs into the cellar and said he “wouldn’t need that where he was going”. John 2 (Mr Lazy) had a man talking to him about someone having an affair and he murdered her. The man was wearing a tall undertaker’s hat and had wispy sideburns and a beard. The date of 1886 was felt. The man with Kevin had heavy footsteps like he was wearing clogs; he was drawn to someone walking on the staircase with posters of upcoming attractions on the walls. John 2 felt there was a poster of a circus. Kevin said someone had fallen down the stairs and hurt their back or twisted their ankle. He felt there was a janitors room to the right of the stage looking into the audience, this is where they hide, when others go to the room they cant see him, it’s a young boy and he used to hide regularly, possible the same runner boy from earlier. He made Kevin aware of someone who sits up in the rafters in the far corner; more than one person has fallen from there. Someone was pushed but someone got caught in the ropes and hung themselves accidentally. The person slipped and hung.
Stage area – group split into 2, half went into the cellar and half on the stage.John 2 – felt a lady in the seats on the RHS.
Ouija - Picked up Howard who worked here, had 2 children, a boy and a girl and was married. He wished to talk to us, there were other spirits here and a noise was heard at the side of the stage. A man came through he was frightened and wanted our help to go to the light, he saw his family there and said he would go the glass stopped moving.
Energies changed and a little girl came through, she said her name was Emily, she wanted to show herself, group asked for lights but nothing happened, she said she would show herself to Amanda on the camera. Amanda knew she was in the left side of the auditorium near the centre and the photo revealed 2 orbs. When asked about the 2 orbs Emily said it was her and her sister. She said the family had died in a fire, she was aged 13 and her sister was aged 11. Amanda could see Emily had long blonde hair in ringlets. 3 loud clear knocks were heard on the stage.
A male came through who worked in the cinema and died there, said he was the girls’ father, he was happy for us to communicate with us and moved a chair in the auditorium for us, there were also noises on stage and footsteps, he said to being in 4th row of seats.
Cellar
A male spirit with initials LK came through on board, he worked in cinema in 1946, a stone was then thrown in the cellar, the man died in the cinema aged 56. Another man came through who had hung in the rigging by accident said his name was Jim Gill. Jim affected Merca; he said he would move seat F2 for us. Luke went upstairs to check and the team on the stage said the seat had moved and it was F2. The team asked if spirit could move a coat hanger that was hanging on a pipe, the spirit said yes. Nothing happened in the cellar but later Craig said they were in the dressing room at the same time and said a coat hanger started moving by itself….
Upstairs Auditorium
A personal message for John 2 came through, spirit was his grandfather named Fred, the message was about a female with an unusual name related to James, message was she will move this year and James will be aware of this, John can do nothing about it, Rob heard a bang in the room. John asked if James could be made aware and answer was no.
Different energy, planchette moving in fast circles, yes to female, not a girl a woman in her 30’s, she was not associated with the cinema. She affected Rob’s hand making the torch shake, it was not someone known to Rob. She was connected to the land the cinema was built on. She had connected with the team on a previous visit. She had her hair flicked under; she died in her 30’s in a fire. A chair in the auditorium squeaked.
A male was felt in the room and Rob’s hand was shaking again, a male who worked here in the 1960’s. He makes himself known to the staff, he died in the cinema. It was not an accident, he died of natural causes. He was a janitor. Death was related to his lungs, he did smoke but it was not smoking related. Asbestos killed him, he wasn’t ill for a long time. Rob heard another noise, planchette confirmed someone else now who we haven’t spoken to before.
The new spirit did not have a message for us he wanted to communicate with us. He had a sense of humour; a noise was made like someone drinking through a straw. He wants to be seen, when asked to show himself an orb was photographed between seats 5 and 6 on the next to back row which was where Amanda thought the man was sat. Luke O noticed his bag had moved on the stage, the planchette said the man wouldn’t do it again. The man was asked to write his name with the planchette, not able to read full name but seemed to be H O, planchette responded to yes when asked if it was Howard. Howard was not happy when others were in the projection room; he said he would spook them for being there.
Projection RoomHoward again, asked if anyone else in the room with us, said yes, and it was a male not connected with the cinema. It was a message for John 2; it was his Granddad and his Granny. John asked if Granny could spell the name of the girl from earlier and the pointer moved to Z. John confirmed the name of the girl began with Z. An oooh noise was heard in the room. Confirmed it was from spirit.
Board confirmed there were 8 spirits in the room and not all were connected to the cinema. Trevor came through and said he would move the seat in the auditorium again and team heard it move. Rob asked about Betty and board said she will be ok, Trevor said he had been following Rob for about 8 years and that he visited him in the bedroom!
New spirit, male, BILL said he knew John 2, confirmed he was Bill Douglas but left without giving a message. Merca felt someone touch her head and a shadow was seen in the doorway.
New spirit spelled ELLIS, Amanda confirmed it was her Auntie Betty and that she was with Amanda’s Mum who was stood in the doorway. There was no message again. Rob asked if she knew where Barrie was and confirmed YES, was he with Lynne, YES; where are they and went to L (they were in Leeds).
A personal message for Merca from her friend Tom came through, Tom said he would help the other spirit go across to the light. Board spelled out the name Leigh, said this was the other man, Tom was also affecting Chris.
Spirit 7, new spirit, a male, Jack, friend of Rob’s. Again no message
Spirit 8, new spirit, male for Sarah, related to Sarah’s Dad. YES to Grandpa. Had message for Sarah’s Dad, went to 5, relating to period of time. Spirit left.
Toilets
Neil felt the presence of a male in the toilets, dressed as a Teddy Boy. Kaz confirmed that the cinema used to be a dance hall.
Stage area
Teams all collected on stage to try table tipping. The table moved quickly around in circles on the stage.
