Knottingley Town Hall 4.4.2008
Our return visit to Knottingley proved to be just as interesting as previous visits. Although we had much less audible activity than in previous visits we did capture some unexplained “heavy breath” sounds in the cellar. Whilst the group was in one of the cellar rooms a loud noise was heard in the corner like falling wood or masonry. On investigation we could see nothing that was immediately obvious, however we had not taken any baseline test or photographs at this point and decided it was quite possible that on entry into the room we could have disturbed a mouse or some of the wood that was stacked on a table. Once the lights were off and we had begun our vigil shuffling or noises we described as “like a man out of breath” could be heard in the same corner. We thought it may be attributed to a car going by as we were slightly below the road outside. We listened to several cars going by and recorded the noise they made. All the cars sounded very similar but distinctly different to the heavy breathing sounds. We eliminated all we could think off to explain the breathing sound. As the vigil continued our Cell Sensor meter (EMF) began to beep and levels up to 9 were continuous around the group and over the stack of wood. On base line testing levels were recorded as 0 in the room rising to 4/5 around the group. We turned on the lights and tried to find a source that could cause the meter to react in such a way and could not. Hannah asked for spirit to stop making the meter beep, it did. Ask to start again, it did, asked to stop, it did. This had happened in the same area on our previous investigation where yes and no questions were answered with corresponding beeps. A flashing light was seen by two group members around Neil’s legs on two separate occasions, we could offer no explanation for this. The lights were turned of and we began again still hearing the breath sounds and even the temperature had risen from 16.4 on entry to 18.3 an icy breeze seemed to pass over the group. Almost immediately after Shaz, who was filming, said someone had touched her neck. We ended our vigil and replayed the Dictaphone and video footage, both picked up a very loud and very clear “forced breath” sound immediately before Shaz said she was touched. Some of the group members believed the sound to be a word although this is unclear. We hope to be able to isolate the clip to post on our site. Two other groups went into the cellar and one group also reported heavy breathing a drop in temperature, orbs and red lights. In the main hall we had some success with table tipping much the same as in previous visits. However, by far the most interesting for all our groups was the activity around our Ouija board. Orbs were caught on camera around the group and above the bar also on the stage (see pics on forum). Group C had the name EDWIN spelled out and the year 2006. To the authors knowledge only our team knew of this connection and at that point no team member was on the board. Lots of personal details were spelled out for team and guest members of the group alike. A very personal message for Corrine with absolute verification that no-one else could have known. Again as in previous visits an alleged murder victim and his killer seemed to make contact with similar names beginning with G and the same reason for the murder. These specific details, although our team knew about them, have never been made public by us and it is unlikely that any of the guests present at that time would have known about this to influence the board. The “feeling” of the glass changed several times for all groups that took part and this change was associated with different “spirits” coming on the board. Indeed different letters were given and different yes/no to questioning. Lots of the letters spelled nothing at all but on several occasions the glass moved quickly and accurately to spell names, details and give dates and ages and not particularly when the person involved was at the board. A specific and very personal message which took around an hour was given to our group member Rob. This was highly unusual as Rob rarely takes part in any vigil and in fact when this began was not nearby. However, names, dates, verification was accurate and some details have since been verified by historical record. He even used the ages given to him on his lottery ticket and won £10!!! Coincidence, you decide!Specific details concerning our guest have been omitted for reasons of privacy, however if our guest wish any details to be given they will be posted on our site.Once again our Haunted Night in Knottingley was both interesting and enjoyable. We hope to return again in 2009.
